הבורות יבשו, השדות קמלו ועדיין היו בני ארץ ישראל ממתינים בשאילת הגשמים עד ל-ז' במרחשוון, רק על מנת להתחשב באחרון עולי הרגל בדרכו חזרה לביתו שבגולה. למרות אי הישארותו בארץ, אנשי ארץ ישראל לא התעלמו ממנו, כפי שנכתב במסכת תענית: "כדי שיגיע אחרון שבישראל לנהר פרת".
ביום שלישי, ז' מרחשוון הבעל"ט, 8/11/16, נקרא, כארגון אורתודוקסי, לתת את הדעת על יהדות התפוצות ועל מציאת הסדר בכותל המערבי.
תנועת "נאמני תורה ועבודה" מביעה דאגה רבה ביותר על רקע חוסר התזוזה בנושא הכותל והסדרתו. יש לכך השלכות מרחיקות לכת על העם היהודי. ולא ייתכן שציבור שומרי ההלכה איתו אנו נמנים, ישב בשקט שעה שמיליוני יהודים רואים שמדינת ישראל אינה נותנת להם ביטוי במקום שאמור לאחד את העם היהודי כולו.
לכתחילה, אנו מאמינים שיש לאפשר את תפילת נשות הכותל בעזרת הנשים ברחבת הכותל הכללית. מסיבות נוספות יש להעביר את ניהול הכותל לשליטה משותפת של הסוכנות, שר הדתות, שר התפוצות והרבנות.
מדינת ישראל היא מדינתו של העם היהודי על כל חלקיו, ולכן נדרשת אמירה ברורה שתחזיר את רחבת הכותל להיות רחבתו של כל העולם היהודי.
יש מקום לשקול גם פתרונות אחרים, אך הפתרון הגרוע ביותר הוא חוסר הפתרון המרחיק מעלינו מיליוני יהודים.
אנו מבקשים לחזק את ידיו של יו"ר הסוכנות היהודית וחבר הנאמנים המתכנס השבוע בניסיון למצוא פתרון. אנו קוראים לארגונים אורתודוקסים נוספים ולחברי הכנסת הדתיים להצטרף אלינו.

The 7th of Marheshvan – WE WILL NOT FORSAKE THE JEWS LIVING OUTSIDE ISRAEL. WE DEMAND A PROPER ARRANGEMENT AT THE KOTEL
The wells were drying out, the fields were withering, but the people living in the Land of Israel would not begin praying for rain before the 7th day of Marheshvan out of consideration for each and every Jew, who had come on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and was making his way back to his home outside the Land of Israel. In spite of their leaving the Holy Land they were not forsaken by its people as stated in the tractate of Ta'anit: "…to enable the last Jew to reach the Euphrates river."
On Tuesday the 7th of Marheshvan, November the 8th 2016, we – as an organisation of orthodox Jews – will call upon the responsible bodies to consider the needs of Jews from outside Israel and settle the issue of the Kotel for all Jews.
The "Ne’emanei Torah Va'avodah" organisation wishes to express its concern over the lack of progress in settling the Kotel issue. This situation has far-reaching repercussions for the Jewish people. Therefore, it is inconceivable that people keeping the rules of Halachah like ourselves can keep quiet, while millions of Jews feel that the State of Israel is unwilling to let them express themselves at the site which is meant to unify the entire Jewish people.
As a matter of fact, we also believe that the "Neshot Hakotel" ought to be allowed to conduct their t'fillah in the women's section at the Kotel, and that the administration of the Kotel site should be handled jointly by the Jewish Agency, the Minister for Religious Affairs, the minister for Diaspora Affairs and the Rabbinate.
The State of Israel is the state of all parts the Jewish people, and it should be stated clearly that the site of the Kotel belongs to the entire Jewish people.
Various solutions might be considered, but the worst scenario is that of a lack of solution, causing the estrangement of millions of Jews from the State of Israel.
We wish to support the Chairman of the Jewish Agency and its Executive, convening this week in an attempt to reach a solution. We call upon additional orthodox organisations and upon the religious members of the Knesset to join us.
"For the sake of my brothers and friends I will ask for peace among you."
